About Arcotel Hotels Gaaden
Arcotel has spent more than three fruitful decades in the hotel industry. It started off as a family business in 1989. It was founded in Germany and Austria. It has 4-star and 4-star superior hotels scattered in Berlin, Hamburg, Linz, Stuttgart, Salzburg, and Vienna. Founder Raimund D. Wimmer played a big role in the Austrian tourism for more than 25 years as he made this hotel chain a go-to for many local and international travelers. He was the European Director and International Vice President at the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association (HSMA), President of the marketing group L’Austria per l’Italia, and board member of the Austria Convention Bureau.
He was also Vice President of the round table conference Hotels Austria and spokesman for the 4-star alliance Vienna. From all his colorful experiences, he authored a book called “Profit from professional marketing and successful selling in tourism.” Until now, the business remains family-owned with the guidance of the patriarch figure. The hotel chain continues to promise expansion only if it will give way for actual growth in the field. The business doesn’t only focus on sales growth but contribution to the community as well. The name Arcotel also says it all. It is the fusion of ARCus (arch in Latin) and (H)otel, which symbolizes the value of link, necessary to welcoming guests warmly.
